Why?

We live in a fast paced, consumer driven world. Social media and the internet has brought the world closer.

We are able to be global without leaving our homes. We can gather information, follow friends and family, celebrities…we are more connected than ever before. But are we?

We follow and respond and like aspects of the people and events we wish to track and engage with, but this is only the part that is visible.

Connection is so much more. It is the feeling you get when you are physically present.

The moments you react and respond to when coming into contact face to face.

It is the social interaction of mixing with people you don’t know overcoming social anxieties, listening, responding, learning, reading non-verbal signals… all aspects of life that are vital to feel connected.

Having conversations without worrying what you look like on screen.

We are more connected and feel more isolated.

We play games on screens, but forget to play outside in the rain and sun.Our mental health is struggling, we are struggling, our children are struggling.

In launching KY-ND I hope to:

What we say has an impact on others

We live in a tough world and there are so many challenges that face us, it can be overwhelming.

But if we find purpose, no matter how small and live it, we give our life meaning and that in turn opens us up to opportunities that will then make you feel better about YOU. It is cyclical.

Ok not ok

Live authentically

It is ok to say you are not ok. If we say it, we own it and can change it!

Just be KY-ND. It takes a lot more energy to be unKY-ND and it doesn’t make you feel better. If you don’t have something KY-ND to say that is Ok, but then stay silent.

Words matter…Words heal, but they wound too and some words hurt more than we can ever imagine.

Let’s grow in KY-NDness

Let’s spread KY-ND and put down roots. If our roots and foundation are KY-ND we will feel better about ourselves and this in turn means you help to make others feel good too and our mental health improves.

If you are a parent…please teach your child to be KY-ND, kind…it doesn’t matter how you spell it, but it will make a world of difference to someone.

I hope that by wearing our T-shirts, conversations will be ignited.

For a lot of people just having to enter a room full of people is intimidating. Some of us don’t like small talk, some of us don’t know what to say.

By wearing KY-ND I am hoping that it helps to get a chat going about KY-ND and what you are wearing.

The start of the conversation is always the hardest, so I hope that our T-Shirts help in forming connections and conversations.
